We stayed at this hotek for two nights. And it was easy to walk there
with our backpacks from Kyoto station. I google it then got the map from
tourist information at the station and the staff just recomfirmed us how
to get there. Only 15 min walk. Staff are very friendly and also allow

My sister and I stay for 8 nights and we loved the place. The staff is extremely helpful and nice (even if they have problems communicating in English), the fact that there is a common place with fridge and that you get tea and water for free and even croissants for breakfast, the cleanliness the rooms and how central the location is. We highly recommend this place for people who want to explore Kyoto and surroundings for a few days.

Me and my girlfriend stayed for 2 nights in Kyoto, we wanted to try traditional japanese style room. But when we arrived at Ikoi No Ie it occured to us that it was the best choice apart of that what I mentioned. A subway station a minute away, also very convenient to the main railway station, (15 min walk or 1 subway station away), in a true old fashioned Kyoto street. Not far to 7/11 & supermarket, we didn't eat out much as 'the right place' was a little more difficult to find (not Japanese speaking). Although the railway station would have sufficed if we had wanted more eating options.
We had the top floor of an apartment 30 metres from the hostel & front desk and a couple of hundred metres

The people who ran the place were so nice and helpful. They advised me where I should go, what I should do and even gave me a free ride back to the station at the end of my trip. I loved everything. The family that owned the place were extremely nice
and helpful (the husband dropped us off at the station when we checked
out in his car) (the wife gave us tips and tricks, pointers where to go
and which places to check out), the views are impressive, my boyfriend
and I felt thoroughly relaxed staying at their guesthouse, on holiday
away from the big city. It was so cheap, and I wouldnt mind staying here
again when I come back. I loved kyoto and our stay with them most

Great place to stay in Kyoto, especially if you don't want to spend
much. Perfect location, close to the central station and to a great
bicycle rental place. Getting anywhere from here is not a problem at
all. Familiar atmosphere and very Japanese, I really enjoyed to sleep

2)there is a fridge in the small kitchenette in the meeting room that every body can use that so it is great for preparing breakfast.
3)location is wonderful just 10 min walk from the main station.

The manager does a brilliant job, the lockers are big enough for all luggage, the water is always hot! The lovely bakery and bath house are the icing in the cake.

Though the room was very very small it really doesnt mind because in this hostel common places are the best I've always been.
There are a lof of showers for men and woman,they are clean and you are provided of shampoo and everything you need, even there is a room with a lot of hairdryers.
The breakfast is simple but enough, tea, bread, some bakery

Sanjojuku is a great ryokan. If you'd like to live a great japonese experience, this is the place where you have to go. It's all beautiful, with a nice wood smell and little flowers disposed in every corner. You also have the occasion of sleeping in front of a charming traditional japonese garden.
