We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, KYOTO, Hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The location was very easy, we just took the subway to reach Kokusaikaikan and the directions on the subway took us directly to the hotel. It was a very comfortable and nice room, with free internet. The buffet downstairs was very good for dinner and the surrounding environment was very nice and green. As my older daughter was in the room one day, they didn' t have oppurtinity to clean the room, so they presented us 500 JPY gift check for it.

Everything was good. Comfortable bed, very nice onsen with indoor and
outdoor bath, sauna. Very clean. Breakfast is well worth the money, open
buffet style with plenty of choices (mainly japanese dishes). They have
noodle soup after 9 pm, free of charge!

Onsen, free ramen and Lawson direct access from the lobby.
Service staff was very good and pleasant. They have special commodities to keep your luggage before after check in/out (brought the luggage at our room after early check in and while we were out).

The Staff were exceedingly good showing genuine attentive detail. There were several good to excellent English speakers at the hotel. Great sleep in a double bed. Very good Free Wi Fi throughout the hotelNice restaurant and reception area and garden. When booking a room I asked for a quiet room, and this request has been dealt with in a most perfect manner possible - the view was over a cemetery. Hotel location is absolutely perfect, in pedestrianized Rokkaku-dori, just off the busy Kawaramachi-dori, with hotel being well shielded from traffic by a large UniQlo shop. The room was excellent, not too small, clean and nicely decorated. A beautiful an relaxing place to stay, good for holidays and for a business trip.

If you are traveling as a family or if you are older, this is the best choice in Kyoto as far as I'm concerned. The location is excellent, just 5+ mins walk from the main Kyoto station. Price is reasonable for the service and facilities. Rooms are clean and fully equipped. Staff served tea to us every day when we came back to the ryokan. They have a free cultural night event every night run by volunteer staff. They are so friendly and it was really nice learning about their lives in Kyoto, as well as pick up some origami/calligraphy writing. Highly recommended!

This is so good hotel. Very new, very modern, clean and well designed. Very nice breakfasts, free coffee all day long in lobby and very comfortable tables for work. Just one thing — they have that weird check in payment machines, but i am sure they will remove they soon. Very good hotel and very close to Kyoto Central Station — 5 min walk. Definitely and strongly recommended.
