  We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, KYOTO, Hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Throughout Japan we were impressed by the politeness, friendliness & cleanliness & we are sure all hotels at all levels meet the same standards. Kyoto is the old capital of Japan. This hotel was just outside th... wat mensen zeggen » e city centre, & we had an enormous room with magnificent views of the forests, mountains & lakes. Metro station to the city centre & Old - This was one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The location was very easy, we just took the subway to reach Kokusaikaikan and the directions on the subway took us directly to the hotel. It was a very comfortable and nice room, with free internet. The buffet downstairs was very good for dinner and the surrounding environment was very nice and green. As my older daughter was in the room one day, they didn' t have oppurtinity to clean the room, so they presented us 500 JPY gift check for it.

  My stay of 5 nights was a truly lovely experience from arrival to departure, wonderful room design (King, level 2), everything thoughtfully arranged, lots of space to hang and put away clothes and other items, scrupulously clean, spacious shower, a calming room which was a delightful refuge after busy days out. I've lodged at many fine hotels across the glob - 1) Breakfast - European buffet was to die for!! they cook ham in front of your eyes, excellent choice of fruit, muesli, sausages, fish. 2) Spacious room. 3) Staff speaks good English and very helpful, allowed us to leave our luggage for free for 3 days even when we left for Tokyo and then didn't come back to Hyatt again. 4) Locality is really convenient for both sightseeing (next to Kyoto Museum and various temples) and logistics point (5 min from train/shinkansen station)

  Everything was good. Comfortable bed, very nice onsen with indoor and outdoor bath, sauna. Very clean. Breakfast is well worth the money, open buffet style with plenty of choices (mainly japanese dishes). They have noodle soup after 9 pm, free of charge! There is free wifi in the whole hotel including the rooms, which is reliable and fast. Sanjusangen-do (1000 buddhas temple) is walking distance, - Great location to visit Kyoto. Rooms are nice and very functional. Onsen, free ramen and Lawson direct access from the lobby. Service staff was very good and pleasant. They have special commodities to keep your luggage before after check in/out (brought the luggage at our room after early check in and while we were out).

  The hotel was excellent value for money and the buffet breakfast was extensive and delicious. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with more space than expected. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The hotel also runs a frequent shuttle bus too and from the JR Kyoto train station which is very convenient. - Staff are ver... wat mensen zeggen » y polite and efficient. The Concierge was very helpful. There are not a lot of places to visit near to the hotel, but it is only a short walk to the stop for the bus to Gion. The hotel shuttle bus is great for getting to the station, from where you can get transport around the whole city.

They have good initiative where they are willing to go a step further in making our stay in Kyoto as comfortable as possible. The hotel is located on a rather busy street with lots of shops and restaurants, and also just a few minutes from the Kyoto shiyakusho-mae subway station, that will take you to and from Kyoto station.   The hotel is well located, very close to the main train station and the Gion district, the beautiful and traditional part of Kyoto. The rooms are really stunning, with a wonderful fusion of traditional and modern Japanese design. The rooms are also very large (especially for Japanese standards) and we felt instantly relaxed upon arrival. The wi-fi was the best we experienced on our Japan trip and even good enoug - The rooms at Kanra are visually beautiful. The design is typically Japanese and the management have put a lot of thought and money into the aesthetics and decor. They make beautiful use of hidden lighting to give the room subtely and sophistication. The size of the room is enormous by any standard, let alone Japanese, and the bed is separated from the tatami mat TV room by a bamboo screen. The bed is so comfortable and the pillows just right.

During my stay there, I unfortunately lost my passport & when I approach the lovely lady at the reception, she was really keen to help me out by calling the police station & embassy for ... wat mensen zeggen » me! Just can't thank her enough. Room: The room is well-equipped with air-conditioning, air-cleaner, slippers, a small balcony with table & chair - This is so good hotel. Very new, very modern, clean and well designed. Very nice breakfasts, free coffee all day long in lobby and very comfortable tables for work. Just one thing — they have that weird check in payment machines, but i am sure they will remove they soon. Very good hotel and very close to Kyoto Central Station — 5 min walk. Definitely and strongly recommended.
