On arrival, we were taken through the various facilities including a hot tub and a self drying dish rack. There was a tea service provided as well as drinks, and every facility for cooking including a variety of seasonings. Shops were nearby. It was a pleasant location. There are lots of shrines nearby and the staff there even provided us with an all day bus ticket each at no extra cost.
1. staying in a traditional house in Kyoto. what an experience.
2. the house is fully equipped and clean. we enjoyed buying food in the market and eat at the house relaxingly.
3. there is a very long history public bathhouse (only 3 remaining in Japan) steps away. unfortuantely it will be close down on 31 Dec this year.alle beoordelingen »
Nice & helpful staff, spacious area capable for at least 6 ppl,
genuine experience of local life.
The staff overlooking the property was quite helpful and you get a whole
'authentic' city house.
good japanese cultural touch of living.
The bedrooms are up a steep staircase, so this may not be suitable for an older person. The toilet had rocks on the floor, which seemed a little odd. Because of the difficulty in finding the place, it is best to print off the map to show to the taxi driver.
the location is in the residential area, not too convenient for tourist, but it is reachable with bus, then walk up a slope for 400m.
Location, too hard to find it, few restaurants nearby, only one
bus pass by.
Well I wouldn't consider it central and even though the interior is
quite functional it didn't really feel comfortable at all
(expecially the bathroom which basically was a mirror and one piece of
furniture).
need to go by bus only, dont walk. it's quite far from underground.
