Private baths were awesome, the view was amazing I couldn't
believe what we got for the price. Rooms were large (for the first
time in Japan)
the staff were really friendly
did i mention the view?
also make sure yo go to the small bar at the sister-hotel down the road, good cheap dinners and a real cozy atmosphere. get there early to avoid the smokers.
The hospitality and service were excellent. We loved the view from the room and the locality of the hotel. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent value for money and allowed us to experience traditional Japanese cuisine.alle beoordelingen »
Friendly People which made me feel welcome from the first minute in
the Hotel. Dinner and Breakfast in the regional Japanese Stile was
a wonderfull experience that I would reccomend to everyone staying
at the tqs.
It is set in front of small waterway together with green hills. The room size was fine (mach more bigger than those in tokyo). It was comfortable and pleasure.
good location, just 3 mins walk to railway station. The open air public bath on the top of the hotel is really great.
Stunning location with all rooms having a riverside view - good alternate to Hakone Yumato.
Big comfy room with river view.
River view, onsen, big room.
Friendly staff.
The view out the window was wonderful. Breakfast was Japanese style and
very good. Dinner meal was good value for money. The bus service is only
50-100 meters down the road. The hotel was used primarily by Japanese
people and they wandered about and went to meals in yukata so it felt
quite authentic. The onsen was adequate.
Large rooms with excellent view and comfortable beds despite being a bit dated. Staff with little English but helpful. Good traditional Japanese food. Must be booked prior to arrival as little else nearby. Baths relaxing.
Nice view. Local food was really japanese ;). Free onsen. But the private onsen in the hotel was cute and comfy. Little shop was present.
A bit difficult to find at first especially at night, but afterwards it's okay. Room is big. Breakfast is just super!.
The room was very large and the view of the river gorgeous.
Breakfast is very traditional, and I mean smoked fish, with fermented
bean sticky stuff and all sorts of strange. Was an experience to eat
breakfast, but not enjoyable if whole smoked fish isn't your thing
access to the train station is a bit of an uphill walk with many stairs that the elderly would find difficult-impossible.
The way to the hotel is not that safe, because there is no pedestrian
walk around the last corner before you reach the hotel.
It is a little bit far from bus station or train station around five to ten minutes walk (it was worse when carrying big baggage).
Looking a little tired now - could do with a coat of paint.
might be a bit noise with the river flow. Ear plug will help for light sleeper.
Run down facility.
The location was initially difficult to find. The hotel overall is a bit
rundown and needs a renovation.
Stated that it had WiFi but in fact no Internet access at all.
Very difficult access along busy winding road with no path.
Road to reach it. Staff cannot speak English nor understand completly. Old building but clean and ok. No buffet: you'll eat what they serve but that shouldn't be a bad thing.
The smell was horrible, stale and moldy. The staff was not helpfull. We were asked if we wanted to book dinner and we declined because the place was so sad looking. Everything in town closes at 17.30 so we could not find a restaurant. At 20.00 we were told by the hotel it was too late to eat there and we had to resort to a grimy pub of a nearby onsen. Communicating with the staff was terrible and difficult.
