  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. We stayed in a 4 bed with an en suite bathroom that was clean, s... wat mensen zeggen » pacious, and had a great view. The lobby was inviting and modern, and the breakfast is a good value. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

  The staff were fantastic. Both young women were friendly, courteous and helpful. When we mixed our dates up and blythely overstayed, they worked out a way to accommodate us in their fully-booked hostel. The location is terrific. We were in Venice for the Biennale and walked to all the Pavilions from the hostel. We discovered it was quicker to walk... wat mensen zeggen » than take a vaperetto to the Giardini and Arsenale. We also enjoyed the very social gatherings around the breakfast table with women from all corners - The space is nice to be in. I liked the old building itself with marble floors, high ceilings, big breakfast room and nice living room where guest can sit and talk, it adds to the feel of the city. It was incredibly clean during all the 5 days that I stayed. The staff is very friendly. The location is central. It's a women only place, so if you are not looking for a mixed noisy crowed it is perfect.

  I stayed for one night, and it was perfect. If you are looking for a hostel to stay for a few nights, this one is perfect. 10 min. from St. Marco Place. The owner is a really nice and helpfull guy, he gave me a map and showed me where i could go. Really appriciated his help.
