  The Pisani is an amazing hotel of old world charm and relaxed atmosphere. Beautiful furniture and surroundings made for the perfect stay. It was a perfect place to sit and sip Prosecco while watching the tourists drift by on their Gondolas. There a few nice little restaurants nearby and a great patisserie with a huge range of delicious macaroons (and other - My 17yr son and I loved staying at Palattezzo Pisani because it was a real Venice experience ( unlike the previous boring Venitian hotel where we wouldn't have know which continent it was on). The Pasani is an actual old Palace (yes it's got plumbing and hot water!!) you can hear the waves from boats washing onto the building, see the Grand Canal out your window and have breakfast or just 'chill' in the most amazing old rooms.   We stayed at casa sain't andrea a day before our cruise. Location is perfect, only few minutes walk from P. roma to our hotel and like walking around a building where we catch our shuttle, people's mover to our cruise ship. Vaporetto or water taxi is just outside the hotel. A grocery is close by where we bought our bottled water and food supply. We chose to walk via academia to rialto and P. mar - Coming from the airport by bus around 9pm, this hotel was close to the drop off point which was useful with roller suitcases. We were greeted by a friendly man who made us welcome and up-graded our room to one that overlooked the canal. It was great waking up to the canal boats going about their business, after we had enjoyed a comfortable nights sleep. Although simply furnished the room was clean and quaintly old-world with exposed beam look. The breakfast was great and plenty of it! The staff
