  Hotel Victoria turned out to be a true 4-star hotel in a convenient location around the center of Trieste. The staff was most professional and attentive, not to mention fully fluent in English. The breakfast, although served in a buffet style, was lavish and tasteful like I never experienced at any other hotel. A major plus. Most enjoyable with adequate supplemental - We were travelling for our wedding anniversary and on arrival learned we had been upgraded to a suite - fantastic!! The staff were extremely helpful, directing us to parking (with a special hotel rate), recommending and booking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner (which was excellent) and even chilling a bottle of wine we'd brought with us. The room was amazing, clean and luxurious, and the breakfast was excellent. Highly, highly recommended.

It was ok because the hotel has such a lovely position on the sea that you are never in the room. A lovely, quiet sunbathing area with direct access to the sea. The room was very comfortable and had air conditioning. Also the restaurant had lovely food and wine.
