  Rita made us feel very welcome immediately. Her charming villa, artistically appointed, lies in a little green valley descending from Piazza Armerina, which is just five minutes up the road. The garden is lush and beautifully arranged, alive with flowering trees and honeybees surrounding a pool in which to cool off from the hot Sicilian sun in war... wat mensen zeggen » m weather. This is the place to utilize as a base from which to see the unforgettable and unmatched mosaics at Villa Romana at Casale, as well as the - Absolutely excellent. Great breakfasts with huge variety of choices and fresh baking. Rooms and setting are so nice. Quiet, on the edge of Piazza Armerina, yet an easy walk into the city. Rita is so eager to please and friendly. She even brought tea to our room each night. Just a great place to stay while exploring central Sicily.

  For those who wish to visit the Roman Villa del Casale, the b & b Villa Artemide is an excellent place to stay. We were there for one night and felt very comfortable and welcomed by the owner. You are greeted by Giuseppe the owner who is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfy. Giuseppe cooked me and two other very nice guests from Belgium a meal in the evening. Nice meal nice wine. People arrived late while we were chatting and Giuseppe dealt with them exactly the same, kind and courteous.   The view is amazing and the breakfast was delicious. I loved the locally produced sun dried tomatoes, local pastries, honey and the coffee was rich, strong and brewed just for me. Our children loved the animals, dogs and cats roaming about, the hammock, the gardens. One could easily sit on the terrace for hours admiring the view or sit at breakfas... wat mensen zeggen » t for hours sampling all the local offers, taking in the view and just relaxing. Very pleasant and helpful hosts and a calm easy place to stay. - Great b&b with a fantastic breakfast that encompasses many local delicacies. It's outside town so very quite, although this can be a problem if you do not have your own car. We didn't but the staff were fantastic providing us with transfers (without expecting recompense!). Maria Grazia is a registered guide and very knowledgeable, worth booking for the Roman villa.
