The rooms are not cheap, but nothing in Europe is; however for the price, you are getting a wonderful stay during your time in Lucca. We had a 1 year old with us and was given the room most suitable, even though we only booked the night before our arrival. The room was big enough for all our luggage, pram and cot - The location, the decor, the amenities in the bathroom, a proper shower, the 4-poster bed and, most of all, the friendly and very helpful staff.

  We were met at the door by a member of staff who was extremely friendly and helpful with good information about Lucca. Later we had an issue with a door handle which was dealt with promptly.   We had a fantastic stay at Villa Cheli! Our room had direct access to the front balcony and for two days we felt we had our own private Villa in Italy! In addition to the kind staff, and nice accommodations, we had one of the best dinners of our trip through Italy at Villa Cheli! Very nice englishspeaking receptionist-she gaves us many helpfull advices for the old Lucca town and ideas for good restaurants there.
