  The B&B Racconti di Roma was voor ons de ideale uitvalsbasis om Rome te bezoeken. Centraal gelegen dichtbij een metro station en de "Spaanse trappen". De buurt is aangenaam met talrijke eetgelegendheden op wandelafstand. De eigenaars zijn zeer gastvrij, vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn mooi ingericht en zeer proper. Just wanted to pay attantion to several fact only because for someone that could be decisive and crusial: very small rooms but cosy, about 10-15 minutes on foot to metro station. But near there are bus stops and trains. Please check the transport map of Rome!!! Great value for money! - The staff was very helpfull and nice.   First impression on entering our room was "WOW". The room and bathroom were spacious and extremely clean with edgy modern pleasing décor. We loved the double sinks, walk-in shower with wand and overhead shower heads. Lighting and AC were also modern allowing you to shape the environment to your mood. WiFi worked extremely well. After a busy day seeing the sites it was great to get away from the crowds and yet the Spanish Steps and Via Veneto were only minutes away. The staff were accommodating and friendly and there were lots of good restaurants close by. The room was spacious and modern in an old building.

More than that, through a mistake we have booked a room with two single beds and after sensing that we committed a mistake, we wrote to the owner of this B&B and with 3 days before going to Rome, we had the surprise to get an email with the change we wanted but being aware that it was our mistake. The B&B is very close to Tuscolana train station, from where trains to Fiumicino Airport arrive/depart every 15 minutes. Also close to Re di Roma metro, from where one can easily reach any part of Rome. The room was large and clean. The owners were very friendly. I had to leave at 06h30 to go to the train station, but they allowed me to help myself to breakfast in the small kitchen which is part of the B&B. They also brought their lapt

Because the area near the Piazza di Spana is my favorite area I was please to find the hotel so near. The price was excellent for the room size. It was far larger than expected.
