  We upgraded our room for a (discounted) 35 Euros per night. We stayed in "The Tower" which was a room on 3 floors with an old stone winding staircase. It was incredible. The top floor (the bedroom) had 360 degree views of Florence for miles. Very romantic and very comfortable. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Of the 4 or 5 ... wat mensen zeggen » people who worked on reception, they were all incredibly nice and all offered to help with bookings/recommendations and getting around the town. Valen - Absolutely wonderful hotel right in centre of old Florence. Everything you would want to see is just a short pleasant walk away. Our deluxe room was very big, clean and comfortable with a frame bed and huge couch. The breakfast is amazing with a huge selection of dishes. The staff are all very friendly, efficient and helpful. The breakfast staff even remember what you like and bring it without asking. My wife and I stayed for six nights and would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

  My daughter and I spent four days at the porcellini gallery and we had a fabulous time. The staff especially the lovely Aldo couldn't do enough for us nothing was too much trouble. The place is small, unique and beautiful and so far removed from big corporate hotels if you are looking for something different this is your place. Owners and staff were very cordial and helpful in all regards. Made us feel totally welcome and appreciated. We were very pleased with our stay and would very definitely go back.
