  We recently enjoyed a 2 night stay at Hotel Casa Boccassini for our honeymoon. The hotel is tucked away and we did have to look hard to find it however if you do your research beforehand it will be easy to locate. When you first walk into the hotel there is a beautiful garden courtyard with chairs which is a nice serene place for the weary trave... wat mensen zeggen » ller to take a load off your feet. The rooms are nice, fairly small and nothing fancy with slightly outdated furniture, however the ensuite was new a - Cheap for Venice but still well over 100 euros per night. Cean comfortable and with lovely garden giving friendly homely feel. In a quieter part of Venice which is a huge plus after battling through the crowds around Rialto and St Marks square. Still only a few minutes walk from centre so why pay more for a slightly more central location? Receptionist didn't speak English but extremely helpful, friendly and polite. Breakfast in garden was not the most generous but in a delightful setting.

  Generator was a great place to stay in Venice. Even though it is on Giudecca, there is a vaporetto stop near the hostel and getting to St. Mark's Square is quick and easy. Staff were generally helpful and made a special effort to help us locate a lost piece of luggage at the airport. Certainly better than your average budget hostel. - They helped me to charge my phone when my cable got broken. Very comfortable beds with lights that don't disturb others. Quite cheap, good breakfast for additional price. It was a half-populated 16 person dorm, but it was comfortable to stay there. It is on a separate island from the city center, but public transport is working all the night so it's not a problem.

If you are looking for a luxury, then you should choose another hotel. - As soon as you step inside you feel the friendliness and warmth of a family-based business. Just 5 minutes from the station, and the restaurant next door is good. We won't bother looking anywhere else for our stays in Venice.
