We were contacted in advance and offered various options for a transfer to the hotel from the airport, and chose a private driver who was there and waiting for us.   The B&B Racconti di Roma was voor ons de ideale uitvalsbasis om Rome te bezoeken. Centraal gelegen dichtbij een metro station en de "Spaanse trappen".   We had a very pleasant stay in the B&B Roma Central. Our room was more than big enough for two guests, very clean and very cozy. And in addition the balcony was a great benefit. The room has a fridge and a TV with nearly endless channels in different languages. There is a great supply of very good and not too expensive restaurants nearby the apartment. So, everything was - B & B Roma, was everything we expected. Good location, close enough to the train station to collect our car, near the metro, but in excellent walking distance of most of the sites of Rome. The apartment was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with tea and coffee making facilities, fridge and hairdryer. Being in a courtyard the apartment was so quiet at night which made a great sleeping place. A small useful shared kitchen was available, we made sandwiches for lunch each day to keep

  Gianluca was the perfect host and went out of his way to take care of our every need. We were three sisters who had never been to Rome and had no idea what to expect. All of Gianluca's recommendations on sightseeing and restaurants were spot on. Rooms were comfortable and modern, while the building had the "newer" old world - Gianluca is the perfect host.   The staff were really nice. Especially the guy named Simon. We were really late on the day of arrival (about 11 at night)(because the airport was out of electricity). He was waiting us downstairs for hours!!! The room is really comfortable The balcony is really relaxing. And you can see sunset from the balcony!! quite close to the tiburtina train ... wat mensen zeggen » station although no hot food for breakfast, the breads provided were really yummy - Loved the layout of the room and the entrance foyer. The balcony was just the right size for 2 people. Also, you can get a coffee from the machine anytime. The staff tried hard and even sorted out our washing for us.

  What did I not like!!! This boutique hotel was amazing. I am definitely much more accustomed to the big fancy American chains (Marriott, Hilton etc.) but this place was perfect. Our room was incredibly large for European standards with a table and chairs and a sofa which was used and an extremely comfortable 3rd bed. After we had checked out and discovered we had a flat tire on our car, we had difficultly communicating (on a Saturday afternoon) with anyone who could help us. Just wanted to pay attantion to several fact only because for someone that could be decisive and crusial: very small rooms but cosy, about 10-15 minutes on foot to metro station.
