  The hotel was conveniently located between the Piazza del Popolo and the Vatican (a 10 minute walk to both) and from the Piazza you can continue through to the shopping areas and Spanish steps. There is a very convenient shuttle bus (6 Euro one way) direct to the Fiumicino from the Piazza Cavour (10 minutes walk from - Good location; on quality shopping street; stree bounded by an upmarket residential area; selection of reasonably-priced restaurants in the area; 15 minute walk to the Vatican, Spanish Steps and Piazza Navona and Villa Borghese. Very friendly and helpful staff. In-room safes and reasonably-priced mini-bar. Reasonably good breakfast selection. Clean and well-tended rooms.

  The design of Hotel Metropolis was very cool--modern, clean, chic. I absolutely loved the decor in our room and throughout the hotel. Our room was a good size for two people--just enough space--and the bathroom was very modern and clean (something that can be a rarity in other Italian hotels). The Lepanto a metro stop is just a few blocks away, so seeing the rest of Rome is easy and getting to the Termini train station is very convenient.
