  Fausto, our host was fabulous. He speaks 4 or 5 languages fluently, is very kind, patient, generous and helpful. We were able to get last minute tickets through him to hear Vivaldi at one of the churches nearby. The location is fantastic, a five minute walk from the "Osbedale Vaporetto stop", which is serviced by the fast and slow boats around the... wat mensen zeggen » Lagoon, as well as the airport water boat, which takes @ 35-40 minutes. The # 4.2 Vaporetto leaves to cruise the islands in the Lagoon directly from - 1. The staff. Nice and friendly. Although not all can speak good English, but they try their best to help. Quick response to my emails. They provided directions to the centre. 2. The breakfast. Not much choices (2 rolls, jam, butter, cheese, 1 croissant, tea/coffee/hot chocolate) but it was OK and quick. The table setting is lovely though. 3. The location. 3 min from Ospedale vaperetto stop on foot. (Not very difficult if you have heavy baggage like us as there is no bridge or stairs). COOP sup

  Our room was basic but good value for money. We were in the heart of Venice, just a few minutes from St. Mark's Square and ideally located for everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. - We left a pair of boots by mistake and we came back later to ask and they returned. The breakfast is ok. The staff is very helpful.

Also, I was sent directions by hotel staff in advance, so it was very easy to find the place (which usually can be quite tricky in Venice). All staff are very helpful and friendly, really nice people. The place itself doesn't look very new, but cleanliness is impeccable.   We had the room with a balcony over looking the canal. Nice to watch the boats, gondolas coming and going. We got a water taxi in front of train station and it took us right to hotel door. It was close to main places of interest. Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Nice ambience.
