  a lovely gentleman from reception desk greeted us when we arrived by coming downstairs and carrying our heavy luggage upstairs to second floor, then gave us a great overview of Venice and helped with directions and how to get around. It's also surrounded by good restaurants (incidentally, a very good one just next to the hotel). The room was clean and had an attached bathroom. The aircon was working nicely - no weird smells. If you have a huge luggage, I hope you have strong arms because the narrow stairwell requires you to hold the luggage in front or behind you.   the hotel was just a 5 min walk from Piazza san marco , a bit difficult to find but won't get you more than 10 mins the 1st time to find it . The girl in the reception is just adorable , very helpfull and very easy going . we stayed on a lovely room by the canal with my wife . very quiet area and yet very close to everything . breakfast was pret... wat mensen zeggen » ty standard , but very fresh and nice .we would stay there again definetely! - It was a perfect location, a 5-10 minute walk to St. Mark's Square but tucked away from the crowds of tourists in Venice. It was as nice as a hotel but felt small and quaint instead of industrial. The staff member that worked there was extraordinary. She was the most pleasant person we met in Venice.
