  Over the last 15 years we have traveled extensively throughout Italy and stayed in many lovely and accommodating B&Bs. QuartoPiano is among those at the top of our list. I doubt one can find better lodging in Genova or a more welcoming host than Emiliana and her family. The rooms and common areas are spotlessly clean, spacious and cozy. Additionally this gem is located in a lovely private p - The B&B being on the top floor of a former palace in the heart of old Genoa is the perfect location for a city break. It's close to everything including the train station. Emi, who runs the B&B was a perfect host and a font of local knowledge from train times to restaurants. The rooms are very stylish, well equipped and quiet. The whole b&b including the wonderful roof terrace and hot tub is subtle, stylish and very comfortable. I will be returning for sure. Goed verzorgd ontbijt (lekkere ham). - We actually stayed at their sister hotel,Hotel Savoia, next door as Hotel Continental was under renovations. This was a 4-5 star hotel priced much lower. We will definitely stay there again.   The owner, she was great! Makes you feel really welcome, in style "mi casa es su casa". The B&B was some 15min walk from the old town and Aquarium. We shared bathroom, which wasn't so bad because there were 2 bathrooms, both spacious enough. - They have several flats. We lived in a flat with 4 rooms. There were two bathrooms in the flat. Also... wat mensen zeggen » it was good and clean. One could buy and cook your own food in a microwave owen.

  The staff were really really great!!! They allowed us to store our bags with them for 3 days while we travelled to the Cinque Terre. They were really helpful in advising us things to do in Genoa and places to go for dinner (the rec for Soho was great! Probably the best meal we had!) It's a typical European room (i.e., small bedroom, small bathroom... wat mensen zeggen » ), but it had AC (which was necessary) and the hotel is in a great location, only a minute to Via Garibaldi and 5 or so mins to Piazza de Ferrari and - The hotel's central location in Genoa was its biggest benefit. Walking distance from the main train station, and very accessible to all that the old city of Genoa has to offer. Plenty of food options close by, as well as the funicular to the surrounding areas. The quirky retro feel of the hotel with original art was a pleasant surprise. It was extremely clean and all staff/owners very polite and helpful.

  In a gritty waterside part of the old port of Genoa, we were originally dubious, walking from the railway station, about where we were heading but the Hotel Armonia turned out to be a hidden oasis from the outside world right on Genoa's waterfront. Great location, very clean and simple white room with tiled floors.
