  Everything was brand new - it looked like we were the first to use the room (No6). The room was at pavement level but the window was double-glazed so kept what noise there was on a quiet street to a minimum. It was 10 mins walk from the station and 5 mins walk from a huge shopping centre which had various restaurants/cafes to eat at - some non-Ita... wat mensen zeggen » lian which was great if you get fed up with Italian food! A 15mins walk took you into the centre of Brescia. - Great location - 15 minute to the train station and city center by foot. Quiet street and no noise inside of the hotel. You are getting the keys and in the evening returning by yourselves to the hotel like to the apartment. Staff was very helpful. Also that was surpise for us that the owner of the hotel is speaking Russian. We was able with her help to find out the way how to get to Lake Garda and then to the Malcesino sity on it.

  The Cà del Gando is the single sweetest and coziest B&B I've ever been in. It's very well situated in the middle of the Brescia historical centre a stone throw away from the Santa Giulia museum. Some 75m from the B&B there's a free car park in front of a Carabinieri barracks (so I'd imagine very safe). If I understood right, there is also ... wat mensen zeggen » a possibility for private parking if booked beforehand but really, the free public parking is well enough for anyone (unless you travel in a Ferrari o - We enjoyed our stay at Ca Del Gando a lot. The hotel is perfectly situated in the historical centre of Brescia and is still in a quite street. The host was a very friendly and helpful person. A big advantage is a private parking, since public parking facilities in the city centre are generally overcrowded.   The facilities were very comfortable, big room, clean and quite new. Just opposite the railway station was great for us and we like walking so the 20 minute walk to the castle and old part of town did not worry us. Breakfast was good.
