  The room was large, clean and quiet. The host was fantastic, and did everything he could to accommodate my needs, even finding a place that could wash and dry my hair for me in a tight window of time. But I agree with it....Great proximity to fco, walking distance to beach with very good and inexpensive restaurants. Breakfast was just right for traveling and staff was very helpful and cheerful. The rooms are bright, new, and very clean. ALso, the shuttle service to the airport was good.... came a bit early, we were the only customers in the van and there were not other stops enroute to the airport, so it was calming and not nerve racking.

  The friendly atmosphere of the staff. Everybody helped me all the time. If you desire to be at the beach, it's very close to all the private and public beaches. Convenient also if you want to take the bus and go to Rome. I was lucky that I had friends that came to pick me up with their car. Be patient about traffic if you come from Canada. A window in the room was facing the wall of the building with the reception, but there also was a small balcony, so I was able to see a part of the see from it. WiFi worked fine (had good video connectivity via Skype). Generally, Lido di Ostia is very good option for beach leisure, for traveling to Rome (40mins by suburban train/metro for 1.50euro
