  Staff was very friendly. Prior to my arrival I emailed the front desk about transportation from the airport -- they emailed me back immediately with the bus to take, where it drops me off, and how to get to the hotel from there. Upon checkout, I was able to leave my bags at the front desk and they provided me with a taxi to the bus station. Even better, the hop on-hop off bus - The Belvedere Hotel was close to the centre,of Dublin a couple of minutes away walk. The room was quite and very clean and breakfast enjoyable, you received a discount if booking breakfast when you arrive. Lifts available so you don't need to carry bags. We got a very good last minute deal for the night. There is a pub bar/food connected to hotel.The hotel has entertainment shows on weekends. The hotel is very closely located to entertainment, food, sight seeing attractions.

  Myself aged 31 and my mother of 65 years of age were looking for somewhere fairly central but away from the noise and that's just what we got! 10 minutes straight forward walk to shopping locations, Temple Bar, Central Bus Station, The LUAS and Connelly Train Station. A perfect budget location close enough to everything and away from the noise of Temple Bar! Staff were even kind enough to let us store o - We found the Ripley excellent. We stayed there initially when we arrived in Dublin, then after touring Ireland for two weeks, we stayed there again before leaving for Wales. Would not have done this if we were not happy.   A very pretty Georgian home with many of the old ways respected. Suitable furniture and a very tasteful display of prints reflecting the period around the stairways and landings. The outer facade is impressive, with the two red doors boldly stating the presence of the house to the world.   Loved the room. (Room 202). When you went in the room door there was a living room area with 2 arm chairs, coffee table, fire place, TV, and an eating table with 2 chairs. Off that room was a small kitchen - the basics tea/coffee and ample storage. Next room was the bedroom. This was quite big with a very big comfy bed. I didn't avail o - Excellent value. I was worried about all the reports on noise, but it didn't bother me at all. It is fairly clear that it is going to be noisy anyway. Anyone complaining about this has been warned by other reviews and by the hotel's own website. It is ideal for anyone on a budget. Drinks were 2.50 at the bar and a large selection of meals from 6euro. If you prefer to be part of the party this place is great for you.

My room was huge, containing a large double and two single beds, this was not an 'upgrade', I had paid for a non refundable room in advance. Staff all friendly and very helpful, in particular the girl who checked me in, didn't get her name, but she's off to Ibiza on holiday shortly! Lovely courtyard out back with waitress service (food and drink) and where smoking is permitted. Highly recommended.

  I recently stayed at pearse hotel with 2 friends who I havnt seen in a long time so in order to have a catch up we decided to go to the olly murs concert and this hotel seemed perfect. There was also a guy in the bar who brought our room service to out rooms and when we came down - Staff were very accomodating,as two young people most hotels assume we will be noisey,they did their very best to treat us equally and were very polite and proffesional at all times,there was a bit of a mix up with our booking when we arrived they did not have our booking on the computer but the gent at the reception was most helpful and fixed us a room immedietly even giving us the best room in the hotel for the same price it was relaxed and we felt very welcome i would definatley stay here ag

  Have stayed at the Martello many times in the past couple of years and always enjoy it. The staff are super friendly (especially the reception staff), the rooms are always spotless, the food is delicious, morning, noon, and night. The last time we stayed (only 2 weeks ago), there was a double booking for our room, so we got upgraded to a suite and... wat mensen zeggen » got free breakfast for 3 mornings for the inconvenience. Unbeatable service. At a time when the service industry is struggling, the Martello is thriv - We only stayed one night in Bray to make our car trip down south of Ireland a bit shorter. Everything was working very smoothly at this place. The staff was great, the room was clean and the interior was tasteful even if it was a really good (cheap) price. We really recommend this place but you still have to keep in mind that the price is low, so you can't expect everything to be perfect (like beds, pillows, silence etc).
