  I stayed on the barge with my two children aged 8 and 12. We used to live in Dublin so wanted something "different" to make it more interesting and the barge was certainly that! Trish and her husband (the owners) had thought of lots of "extras" to make us comfortable and to make life easier for us. I had expected it to feel a bit like camping b... wat mensen zeggen » ut I really couldn't have asked for anything more - I would definitely recommend a stay on the barge and hope to return soon. Whilst we didn't use th - Location was great. Hosts were better than great, such fun to stay on this barge and really comfortable. The canal option was so good and our friends young kid loved watching it all unfold....so did the adults. You want for little staying with Dublin Barge Hire and its right downtown walking distance to Trinity College, all the museums, and the new Rugby/ Soccer stadium. Not to mention just a block from the train station to go out to Howth! Cannot recommend enough, wonderful and fun for both of

  The room was suprisingly large, clean and bright, and it was equipped with lcd TV, powerful hairdyer and tea or coffee making facilities. For those who love tea, it should be added that tea was of really good quality, and it definitely added extra smile on our face! The receptionist we met on our first day was the best ever, and after hearing we w... wat mensen zeggen » ere not so great with the directions, she even drew the bus routes onto our map, making the navigation easier. I bet everyone else have already praise - The Waterloo Lodge was ideal for my stay as it was 10 minutes walk to rds and to Marion Square (start location of the Dublin city Marathon). I traveled with my wife and our two kids (3 & 5 years old) and the family room we had was ideal, plenty of space. Staff were very accommodating and breakfast was excellent. All in all, we had a pleasant 3 nights stay in the Waterloo lodge.

  The reception staff were invariably helpful and polite which in branded hotels may not always be the case, and had good tips on places to visit and directions, the room was very clean, the door held open on arrival with a wedge was a very thoughtful touch, as was leaving the window open so the room was airy on arrival rather than stuffy. Great - Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, bathroom was spacious, and the water pressure in the shower was great. The staff was perhaps the best part of the whole experience. We were able to lock our bags up before checking in so we didn't have to drag them around the city. Also, the staff helped us with directions, provided free maps, and recommended places to eat.   Excellent location, excellent staff. The room was dated by American standards, but with a nice modern-looking bathroom lacking only an electrical outlet. Breakfast very good, served in the downstairs restaurant. After our first night at the hotel, a serious plumbing problem that apparently had been developing over many years, came to light. Quite many steps to our room and no lift. Large nice room overlooking the Stephens Green -park. Perhaps a bit pricy but all in all a great place to stay.

  Staff: very friendly & helpful -- called for taxis and gave us information on the area. Had a triple room which was spacious with high ceilings and a bay window -- very charming. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked with tea/coffee/sugar. Donnybrook location is great -- bus stop a block away, and only 10 minutes north you're downtown, 10 minutes sout - Everything was fantastic, the staff went over and beyond what they were required to do. I was very impressed and left with a fabulous well cared for feeling. You have a great place, very comfortable beds and quiet location. The buses were very easy to get also and handy with all the conveniences over the road. Thanks for a 5* experience. I will definitely be recommending it to others. :)

We used an offer from letsbookhotel.com - it included breakfast and it was very cheap. Quality was acceptable - so value for money was the best from all other options.
