  Really nice appartment in Zollverein, a suburb of Essen. We only used it as a place to crash between to days on the road. - Just opposite to the ruhr museum and in the city centre this is the best hotel I got during my Europe tour. - Very easy place to stay. Parking was over the road in free car park and tram was 30 seconds from apartment.

  My friend and I visited Essen by motorbike. Unfortunately my motorbike didn't start anymore by leaving back to Holland. After 2,5 hours waiting for the German adac in vain, the husband of the owner of the Guesthouse Nordstern offered help to put my motorbike in his van and drove to a motorbike garage from his friend. They easely fixed it and we co... wat mensen zeggen » uld drive home! Great service! Thanks again :d - Gasthaus Nordstern is a very friendly, very welcoming location. The rooms are big enough, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Shower cabins in the room is a little bit awkward, but you can use the private ones down the hall. A big plus for the WiFi. It works great and it's free. The host speaks perfect English. Thanks madam! See you soon!
