Les Gîtes de Carlux is a small development of 12 holiday homes (one, two and three bedrooms) overlooking the picturesque village of Carlux, a rural retreat in the heart of the Périgord Noir. The Dordogne River, with canoeing and other watersports, is only 2km away and it is only 15km to the market towns of Sarlat and Souillac. Most of the principal tourist sites of the Dordogne and the Lot are within a 45 minute drive of Carlux. The 1 hectare site is surrounded on 2 sides by woods and enjoys spectacular views over the village of Carlux and its XIII century château. Facilities on the site include a 12m x 6m heated swimming pool and small paddling pool, sun terraces, badminton, boules, table tennis, adventure playground, under 6 play area, table football, darts and internet hot spot.
The holiday homes are located in four groups, each with its own private terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. There is parking close to each property. A supply of basic condiments along with a weekly change of linen, towels and pool towels is provided. For families travelling with a young child, cots, high chairs and baby baths are available without charge.
This holiday home has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom and can accommodate six people. It has an open plan kitchen with oven and microwave. In the living room there is a fireplace.
The two bedroom standard Gîtes (FR-24370-02, maximum 6 people) are very spacious with a large living/dining room (30m), corner kitchen and open fire.
