  The ambiance, style and overall feeling. It is a superb country house surrounded by tress and parkland. The rooms were very stylish and provided modern facilities against a back drop of informality.   The top floor room is a suite with a living room, large bedroom with a big bath, separate toilet. There is a rooftop terrace with views of the river and two loungers. The living room only has small windows but it looks onto the cathedral. It is nicely furnished and in a good location. - The rooms were delightful. Beds were like falling into cloud... wat mensen zeggen » s. The showers were hot and roomy. Breakfast was tasty and the location was amazing. Great for me to take a run in the morning and still great for my 92 year old dad. He could walk to cathedral and tour it easily.

  My husband and I stayed there for 1 night, en route to catch ferry at Caen the next day. It was a lovely Chambre d'Hote to stay in, the room was beautiful with lots of artistic touches and the Orangerie where we had breakfast was a total delight. Madame has painted the whole of one wall so to sit eating there was to constantly search out new part... wat mensen zeggen » s of the street scene there. Breakfast included creamy home-made yoghurt with home made conserves also as well as the usual cereals and plenty of bre - The owner was very pleasant, and the rooms and ambience charming. The self-catering communal kitchen was most useful, and the dining area very pleasant. The keypad protected parking area worked well, as did the keypad entry system on the front door.
