  Just stayed one night here, as a stopover on the way to Italy, and glad we chose here, instead of a motorway hotel. It's only a mile or two from the motorway, but is very secluded and next to a gorgeous lake and mountains. The room was quite basic, but all we needed. The food in the hotel was fantastic. This hotel would be lovely in the summer, bu... wat mensen zeggen » t was a bit cold when we visited to go swim in the lake - A great location, with very helpful staff. The restaurant overlooks the lake, and the food is superb. Also, when we did not understand something on the menu, the chef took us into the kitchens to show us, demonstrating his pride in his food, and his confidence in the cleanliness of the kitchen; both justified.

  We could park the car very close and for free. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The hotel has been decorated in an interesting and individual manner making the public areas very attractive. In our room there was lots of storage for clothes etc. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, with fresh sheets more than once during the week. As a vegetarian I was always given nice alternatives (often fish) to the usual menu - Everyone is very friendly starting with the couple which runs the hotel. Madame even drove some way to fetch flowers for my wife's birthday. The young table staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is what any seflrespecting french housewife would cook.It is possible to order raclette (enormous portion) if you don't like the menu. The price of wine is reasonable for a hotel. Try the white Chignin for 16€. Although the hotel is too far away from the lift to Meribel to walk there, Monsieur
