  We had an enjoyable stay at the Chateau de Pourtales and do hope to return. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast served in a cheerful room in the Chateau. Our accommodations were in an adjacent building - quiet, comfortable and clean. The Chateau is surrounded by a beautiful park which includes many interesting works of art. For those who li... wat mensen zeggen » ke to hike or cycle, there is an adjacent parkland which includes a link to a Veloroute Rhin-a cycle route that runs along both sides of the Rhine fro - the chateau is located about 5 minutes drive from the center of Strasbourg. The rooms are in the chalet next to the chateau. Our room was very comfortable with a fan, which was very nice since it was about 30 degrees Cel. during the day. The bar is self service. For € 70 per night incl. breakfast, this hotel we certainly can recommend. At the entrance of the chateau gardens is the wonderful restaurant Jardins du Portales. We really enjoyed lunch, and two times diner for a very reasonable price!

  This was the 2nd time I was at the Hotel de La Cloche. Last year I booked a room for two, this year I booked a room for three. The proprieter and his family are very friendly, the place is very clean and comfortable and at a fantastic location right in the centre of town. The price was very good. I recommend this hotel, and in fact passed their information on to a friedn who plans to travel soon in the Alsace region. - Delightful owners. Wonderful ambience in the low ceilinged rooms oozing of history. Very pleasant breakfast at extra cost. Recommendation as to where to dine was excellent though it is unusual that the restaurant of the same name as the hotel is to be stayed away from....but all ok once explained.

  The hotel is beautiful. It was much nicer than the pictures showed. The only rooms available were the junior suite and after we saw it we were so glad we paid extra for it. The room was beautiful and large and worth the extra price. Everything at this hotel is pristine and reaps with French charm. We plan to stay here when going to Alsace. ... wat mensen zeggen » - It is a delightful, and thoroughly comfortable country relais in a beautiful farmland setting. The courtyard dining area is charming and the food delicious. The modern rooms carved into the old house were a treat. The staff were marvelous.

  This was a lovely, country setting, hotel. The people were extraordinary - very helpful and concerned for their guests. The restaurant was fantastic with an excellent menu! - The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and theattention to detail. The village of Mittelhousen is lovely.
