  We booked this hotel as we were on a cycling holiday along the canal, the hotel is located on the edge of town, the staff are friendly and had secure parking for the bikes, the pool was a good size and perfect after a days cycling, the room was spacious, clean, and quiet with air con - The hotel was modern and clean with all relevant facilities. ... wat mensen zeggen » Restaurant was good although expensive considering there is generally good quality food nearby at less money.   Enjoyed 3 nights of luxury during 5 weeks in France. Loved the quiet location (car GPS needed to find it the first time), but only a short drive into Carcassonne. Our junior suite was huge with contemporary but classic décor; separate shower & big bath, and toilet; king-size bed; block out shutters & thick walls so we slept well. Free coff... wat mensen zeggen » ee anytime from decent machine. Breakfast (not included) was good variety of cold options. Restaurant on-site run separately with good food & goo - We received an excellent welcome from the owner who supplied us with full information about the area which we wouldn't have got from a travel book. The chateau has been restored into a contemporary hotel with excellent fittings and wi fi. Our suite was very large, comfortable and quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute drive from Carcassonne. It is worth visiting the Canal du Midi at Trebes and the picturesque Legrasse.

  Staff was so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. We were able to keep our bags locked at reception after check in. Carcassonne is a great little town enjoyed walking around everything is close by and restaurants all have free wifi hotel also gave free wifi. Experience was excellent! - Location, helpful staff, fantstic air conditioning in my room ( but not all rooms have this available apparently). 1 block away at the park is a bus for 1 euroor the petite train for 3 euros to take one to the castle. Bnp ( Bank of america bank about 3 or 4 blocks away). The hotel is 1 block from the train station right across the canal and my room was nicely quiet.

Ignore the parking lot of the empty mall below and focus instead on the sunset to the right of the chateau.
