The food, the staff and the room! The restaurant was one of the best I have been to for the price and I will certainly go back. Great menu, good wine and fantastic presentation. We had a superior room with a very comfortable bed and a strange, but interesting bathroom arrangement. One for close couples relaxing, not families. The staff were excellent too. Thanks for making our breakfast early so we could get away.
alle beoordelingen » We had the pleasure of a newly re-furbished en-suite double room. Comfy bed and summer duvet in a room overlooking the patio. Sumptuous evening meal prepared to a very high standard with well recommended local white wine. Breakfast was perfect with cheese, cooked meats fresh fruit, fresh patisseries and coffee. The hotel is situated in a lovely square and the whole village and river are a joy to peruse. The hotel was really lovely and clean and comfortable. The staff were very warm and friendly. The meal was absolutely gorgeous and we really enjoyed it. The hotel also had a good car park. The owner Claire was wonderfully charming and warm. Superb use of English. She was genuine in wanting to be helpful. Their pool was refreshing for another couple staying at the hotel. The first room was not satisfactory as the bath, shower and toilet were all part of the bedroom. We were immediately changed to a far superior room - room 2 (at an extra cost). a fabulous bath in the bedroom - a nice touch and well executed. the owners were exceptionally welcoming, helpful and friendly. Food at dinner was excellent. The family room for 5 was very spacious and comfortable. Excellent dinner and excellent breakfast. Charming and helpful new owners. The cuisine was outstanding, along with the service. every thing,especiially the friendly service. Good location and our room was ok Owners very friendly. Our stay was too short. We arrived late and left early. There was nothing I did not like. Nothing. The owner Alain was reserve and would benefit from running things behind the curtain. He is no doubt very skilled and capable; but simply seems not to be a people person. It has obviously changed hands since our last visit and the restaurant food was not as good as in previous visits. service at breakfast was a bit lacking. we stayed in a not yet renovated room, so very small and cramped. also small double bed, but the owner told us new ones have been ordered. I suggested they turned the 'double'room we were in into a single!. Our room was one waiting to be redecorated, as the whole hotel was gradually being refurbished. nothing. We were there one night, having stayed before . We wanted to eat in , but the restaurant was closed that night and the place down the road very inferior. Would not have booked if we had known -so very disappointed. Despite booking a twin bed room none was available on our arrival. The owner was rude. The food was expensive and unimaginative. The quantities were small. I would not return to this hotel I had chosen this hotel after reading a review in Sawdays guide. The owners have changed and so has the hotel.
