  We booked this hotel at the last minute. We hadn't researched like normal and had no idea what to expect. We only went on reviews for our booking. We arrived around 9:00 PM. Wow! The initial impression of Art Hotel is fantastic! It is a very old stately looking mansion that is now a hotel. We drove up the windy lane that leads to the hotel. A ni... wat mensen zeggen » ce younger man checked us in. He told us that our room was actually in a little cottage back down the lane near the entrance of the hotel. After dri - Everything! The host Pierre-Antoine was delightful and helped us book the gourmet restaurant Charles Barrier nearby. We stayed one night, then went cycling through Loire and returned 5 days later. They kept our bags and had them in the room. Great service! The rooms are astonishing. This design hotel mixes the baroque beautiful castle with very modern black-and-white design elements. The rooms in the castle are huge and of very high standards.

  Set in its own grounds, very peaceful, excellent parking. Our room was excellent, large and spacious with good facilities. The food was excellent, although the menu was limited and didn't change for the three nights we were there. Tours is a very upmarket and cosmopolitan area with lots of historical sites. A good base for the Loire Valley and... wat mensen zeggen » Chateaus. - Beautiful, very relaxing, great to wind down after a few days on the road. In it's own grounds and away from the city. Food was very good and with a nice wine what more do you need. Spa very good but book in advance, also kitchen very busy so if you want to eay early book also. Staff very nice and very helpful.   Large clean room, friendly staff, good restaurant, easy access to/from motorway - The staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was overpriced for what was available. The restaurant was clean and the food was basic and again we felt overpriced.
