  I hit Järvisydän almost by accident, had heard about the place sometimes before. Now was having business trip and needed place to sleep. Offer was good but the place was just brilliant: very nice old-style restaurant with good foor (they said from the local farmers and fishermen) and a bit different rooms and villas to stay over. Need to come wih... wat mensen zeggen » t bigger group next time, fishing in national park area would be interesting! - The villa we stayed in was very nice, almost brand new and had the same features as a regular hotel room. The restaurant Piikatyttö offered good meals and the atmosphere generally speaking is relaxing, and the medieval thme is nicely visible in public areas - yet the villas used for accommocation are modern, meeting the requirements of the modern age travelers.

  Pretty nice location. Tne best opportunities for cross-country skiing all over the year. Intermediate ski slopes. Pretty clear outside. Our cottage was realy huge with a lot of space and full - equiped, even with sauna, that wasn't announced on booking details.   The meals were just great, they have really good cooks! The sauna and pools are really good and clean. The whole personal is nice, and always ready to serve, the most of them speak perfect English. The hotel is located in front a beautiful lake, right in the middle of the Anttola's forests. - Very nice staff in the reception and the restaurant. Quiet rooms. - Nice comfortable hotel with excellent location to the train station and an easy enjoyable walk to the city center and Visitors Center where there is a excellent small museum about the history of the area. Just on the edge of Joensuu, 10-minute ride on bus 17, there is a well preserved WW2 "Bunker Museum" that is well worth the side trip.
