  We stayed at the Apartments Rogosic in Mid Sep, the perfect time to visit, Hvar was lively yet not crowded. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Vesna and her Husband, who picked us up from and dropped us off at the bus station. We were also offered a choice of apartments for no extra cost. The Apartments offer - The owners were exceptionally kind and helpful. There was no kettle in the room and I do love my cups of tea/coffee and when asked they provided a kettle. There was a full size fridge for our sole use, just outside the door. We were provided with beach mats for our use during the week and given a lift downtown when we left to get our ferry.   We stayed for 10 days in beginning of July 2013. The apartment has been totally refurbished and we were the first one to rent this spacious apartment. There where some dust from the renovation but besides this the apartment was very nice.   The hotel is simply beautiful. The location is outstanding with the tranquillity of the garden and quiet local beaches, perfect for my husband and I and just a 5 min walk to the town for restaurants and bars for my sons. This was definitely the best spot in our 15 days tour of the western Balkans.

  This proved to be a very friendly place to stay and nothing was too much trouble! Restaurant recommendations were greatly appreciated especially as the first restaurant we tried (Konoba Matejuska) gave us such an excellent gluten-free meal we ate there again on the second night. The room was beautiful and what's more ,comfortable. The situation in the town of Split was just right, quiet etc. with plenty of good restaurants close by.   Our stay at Riva Suites was wonderful - right on the Riva but with the double glazing, you would never have known! The suite was beautifully appointed and immaculate, the air conditioning perfect. So easy to walk out the door and choose a bar or restaurant or just wander - Riva Suites were perfect. In the hub of all Split has to offer, as well as being a few minutes walk to ferry and bus terminals. The terrace overlooking the harbour was fabulous. Josko the host left a fridge full of water, milk, yogurts, etc as well as tea bags & coffee. We were so impressed by this place- it is very modern, comfortable and large with TV, WIFI, DVD player, espresso machine, iPod docking station- everything you could need! Whilst it is a bit of a walk out of the centre of Hvar it's a romantic stroll either way and is far enough out to be secluded from the busyness of Hvar's centre.
