  I managed to get Maria's fourth room which is in the adjacent street to the others. It is actually a little self contained apartment in a cool, cellar-like location. Great atmosphere and I felt as if I really was living in a' real' local house. I loved Korcula, definitely a highlight of Croatia and this little flat was the perfect base to explore ... wat mensen zeggen » from. Maria doesn't speak much English but is very friendly. - The apartment we had was a tastefully modernised mediaeval stone dwelling in very quiet side street, in heart of the old town, although there are other rooms in next street too where Maria lives. TV and air-con included, and very good value. Maria was more than helpful at all times. It was perfect for us. Attractions, harbour and restaurants only 2 minutes away. Wonderful stay.
