  The staff is friendly, even if they speak a little English. They can provide you only few additoonal information regarding how to rent bicycles, going to local traditional restaurants, activities and so on only because of their poor English. If you can speak/understand a little Chinese they can give you good advice. Anyway, on a wall in the hostel... wat mensen zeggen » , someone (a guest, I suppose) spent some time writing some of the fundamental info you need. Great location, very close to the long bridge on the lak - The dim environment give a very comfortable feeling. And the receptionists are nice and talkative.

  The location is very good! It is located right inside the old village which is another tourist hotspot and a lot of good, traditional Hangzhou food with varying price range around. The staffs are very friendly and the room is clean. It is around 15 mins walk to Xi Hu. I will definitely stay here again if I go Hangzhou again! My parents like it ver... wat mensen zeggen » y much too. - Excellent location. Located on a street next to a popular Hefang Walking Street. No problem shopping for local souvenirs and eating local food. McDonalds is less than 100m away. Very near to bus stops. Travel between airport and this hotel can be done via public bus, thus very economical.

  Beautiful location on the hillside. View from the balcony was really nice and peaceful. We enjoyed the stroll to West Lake thru wonderful scenery from the hostel. Staff were friendly and helpful but I don't think English is their strong suit (aside from the American Chinese owner).

  Excellent location close to the West Lake, and near some western bars and restaurants (if you're looking for that), right next to Eudora Station, 5 minute walk from Xihu Tiandi. The bed was quite big and very comfortable. - Great location, nice room with the most comfortable bed we've had in China. Good value for money.

  The staff is just great, helpful, friendly, smiling and generous. I remember I was sunbathing, looking at the beautiful bamboo forest, when someone working at Howoo came to me and offered me a delicious cup of coffee, though I had asked for nothing. The view is just great, from the room and from the dining room! The hostel is very nice with wooden... wat mensen zeggen » walls, beds, tables, and very clean (bedsheets, toilets, shower...). There is a soccer table game and pool table, nice sofas to read books, a bar, an - Close to nature, excellent design, comfortable room, friendly staff and funny Captain Wang.   Banpinzi feels like a French country inn. In off-peak traffic, from West Lake it's a brief bus ride to your stop, then a five-minute walk down a forested road. The staff is young and friendly, the rooms may be cramped, but there's art on the walls and you hear chickens in the mornings. My room felt like a painting by Bonnard. Good plumbing, wi-fi, electricity, air-con. - The staff were excellent - very helpful and welcoming, as well as speaking a small amount of English. Quiet location.

  My best Chinese hostel experience ever. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Even though the location is not in the center it is easily accessible by bus. We had a beautiful view from our causy room. I loved the colours of the hostel. Our bathroom lights were broken but they had it fixed in no time which is amazing in China. Excellent value f... wat mensen zeggen » or money!!!! We are definately staying here next time! - The location is good. About 10 min bike to the West Lake and there is a free public bike station nearby(in the parking lot of the Zoo). The price is cheap.
