  Banpinzi feels like a French country inn. In off-peak traffic, from West Lake it's a brief bus ride to your stop, then a five-minute walk down a forested road. The staff is young and friendly, the rooms may be cramped, but there's art on the walls and you hear chickens in the mornings. My room felt like a painting by Bonnard. The food is tasty and... wat mensen zeggen » reasonably priced, though the breakfast is Western, not Chinese. Good plumbing, wi-fi, electricity, air-con. - The staff were excellent - very helpful and welcoming, as well as speaking a small amount of English. Quiet location.
