  Really like the place, real Beijing feel. - By its very nature I was immersed in the Hutong and saw how those people live on a daily basis. For one week I got to feel like a real Beijinger living in the Hutong (albeit a fancy Hutong) and see the culture in a way that is impossible for a tour group staying in a fancy hotel.   We arrived in Beijing at 1am in the morning but due to difficulties with the taxi driver finding the street this hotel was on we didn't actually check in until 2.30am. The neon/lighted sign outside the hotel does not read "Beijing Jinxiu Courtyard Hotel" in the english written section however the chinese section does have that name so there was a ... wat mensen zeggen » bit of confusion as to whether we were at the right place but luckily some locals helped us out. The staff don't speak a great deal of english though - the station is very near to railway station. it's convinent. beautiful yard. special building style. classical.

  This was the best place we stayed in china! The staff were great! We swapped emails and I will defiantly be retuning just to stay here and see my new friend! The staff would help with anything you needed, great advice, helped book tours, great english. One night they even cook my and my parents dinner :d loved it! Prefectly located as well, easy t... wat mensen zeggen » o get a taxi and to walk to many places. - We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring. It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

  The staff were friendly and profession. At the raffles you feel comfortable and get the feeling of being at home. Hotel was very clean and you got value service for your money.   Hey Beijing is Beijing. It's a super busy place; it's polluted (air) beyond belief. In itself, must be seen to believe. Kapok was on the door step of the forbidden city and tien'amen and very convenient for the purpose; to visit these. So on that point, the kapok is good at Peking Duck. Duh... Peking! Other food... So so. The Jade Garden next door (corner) has weird loo - This hotel is in a great location for tourist very close for Forbidden City and shopping as well. The design is great and the rooms have wood floors, always a plus in China where carpet cleaning is not a top priority. A consideration for those traveling with a partner or sharing a room on business, the bathrooms are glass walled with a curtain to pull shut when using the space, so consider this when booking this hotel depending on who else may be in the room.
