  Very comfortable and clean, traditional chinese gardens and furnishings. Perfectly situated in the hutongs ( what a welcome difference to the bland upmarket chain hotels in the centre) . Visiting on foot is easy, taxis close to hand , atmospheric area . Good value varied breakfast both chinese and continental which sets you up for the whole day, ... wat mensen zeggen » and the restaurant a la carte dishes in the evening are delicious. ( A special mention for the lovely restaurant staff ). A great choice for seeing - The hotel was decorated in old style china, great if you want the feel of stepping back in time.The rooms were clean and tidy and the gardens and buildings are very picturesque. Staying here puts you in the centre of a real chinese community, all the people were friendly and if you are a westerner you will draw a few glances. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and location

  The location was excellent. In the middle of the Hutong. We stayed in a traditional room which was very spacious. We also rented bicycles at the hotel, which made it very easy to visit the sights in Beijing. From the airport we took the AIrport Express to Sanyuanqiao and then took a bicycle taxi, because we had read on letsbookhotel.com that car... wat mensen zeggen » s could not enter the street of the hotel. The bicycle was a good idea. We were dropped almost in the hall of the hotel. Also we booked a Great Wall - Very nice hotel with traditional Chinese decor! The best place and part of the city to stay to get a feeling of Chinese culture. Everyone speaks English (thank god)! In a very nice touristy area in the oldest hutong of beijing "Ju er" (next to the busiest and must see Hutong Nanluoguxiang) need to take bus to nearest metro station. Very near (walking distance) drum and bell towers. Many places to eat (restaurants and fast food take away). Can also walk to Lama Temple and Confucius Temple (one b
