We stayed at this hostal for four nights and would happily stay there again. The spacious double room was very nicley furnished and super clean with a great view. Marcela, the owner, is adorable and does everything in her power to ensure you have a lovely stay! She makes a very nice breakfast in the morning, bread rolls, fruit, eggs and had no problems with us leaving our luggage there until 8pm the day we were leaving. Very homely, clean and comfortable hostel. The hostal is located behind the main street at Cerro Alegre - quiet yet accessible to the main area. Lovely hosts, Marcela & Nachos. They are always ready to offer help and advice when needed. Nice and simple breakfast. Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay.
This is a really good place to stay in Valparaiso. On the first floor of an old house, it has been very tastefully decorated and was immaculately clean. Marcela is a wonderful host and made my three days there really good. Breakfast (included in the rate) was also good. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay at this hostal. The hosts are lovely and the rooms are spacious and clean. The private bathroom is down the hall but it that wasn't an issue for us.
It's not that easy to find. You need the exact street address as there's no sign outside.
The only negative is the street light right outside the bedroom window. The owners have put in blackout blinds which helps, however light still gets through at the edges and it is very bight. If your not heavy sleeper (like me) it could be an issue.
