A charming little house out in the country along the side of the road - simple, nice, clean, but Melanie and Ron made us feel like long lost friends who had popped in for a visit.   Adorable place. The owner was very nice and shared information about the history of the home. We were the only guests and had all the public areas to ourselves. We loved the stained glass window in the living room and had fun playing the old upright piano. Got an excellent rate on-line for a suite ....but before booking I called the 800 number and they told me there were no rooms available--- when in fact there was a major storm forecasted and the hotel was empty!!!! They were more than happy to see the puppies every day and pick them up and take pictures. The little ones received most of the attention! I had to make a couple of emergency and rushed trip - We really enjoyed our stay, staff were friendly and accomodating considering our late arrival. The continental breakfast was good as they provided more than the sweet cakes, muffins. - Very well kept grounds with lovely flowers. Not the usual "cookie cutter" surroundings.
