  Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, from the time we walked up the front steps to the time we checked out. We had an issue with our room and it was dealt with quickly and with little fuss. The room we ended up staying in was lovely, very spacious and tastefully decorated.   The hotel staff went out of their way to make our visit special. My husband made some requests because we were staying for our 44th anniversary, and the hotel staff went beyond what he requested. Two days later it still hadn't arrived and I was going elsewhere for a few days before returning to TGIB&B. Stay there and it's very well located. Don't be put off by the neighbourhood and the disad - The Inn was warm and welcoming, with a historic charm. The 3rd floor room was beautiful, unique, and cozy. Noise from other guests did not travel easily, which I appreciated. The Inn Keeper was quiet but kind and thoughtful. The location was just east of downtown, a little off-the-beaten-path, which I enjoyed. The street was lined with beautiful homes. Overall, it was a lovely experience, and I would be happy to return.

  I travel a lot, and the staff at this hotel was the friendliest and most helpful I have ever encountered. They went above and beyond, even just with their courteousness for basic requests, like a wake up call.   The hotel lobby looked impressive and set expectations very high. The check in process was fast and easy. We loved the elevator with a view. The indoor/outdoor pool was great as was the sauna and locker room. The room was nice as well with nice finishes (wood, granite counters, tile, etc). It was very convenient to have a fridge. Porters out front let us know about the self-park garage which was $21 for overnight and we were very close to the hotel entrance. The room and bed was so nice, we enjoyed spending time there.
