Charming old mansion furnished appropriately. Very comfortable bed in large room. Windows that open for cross ventilation. Friendly and welcoming couple. Coffee or tea available any time. Lovely sitting room. Had a choice of breakfast main course:, eggs with bacon or sausage, pancakes or french toast. Fruit and yogurt to start breakfast. Situated in a lovely older neighborhood for an evening walk.
alle beoordelingen » We loved the history of this B&B. There were lots of pictures showing how the original house and other areas of Cranbrook looked. If you're into history, this is a great place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was large, the linens were great, the house was quiet, the breakfast was delicious, and the owner was friendly and informative. Friendly staff that helped make the stay very enjoyable. Delicious breakfasts along with great service with attention paid to details.Loved the heritage home with the unique decor. We felt like we had gone back in time to a simpler style of living. Very relaxing holiday.We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. This stay was excellent. We arrived after a long day of travel and felt great right away. The owners imparted a welcoming touch from the very start though the end of breakfast the next day. Rooms were clean and historic. It it too bad that the place is up for sale. Host excellent, nothing was too much trouble, the period house was fascinating but with all mod cons. Breakfast fantastic, lots of choice, tea coffee was always available. Ideal location for Cranbrook and surrounding area with an interesting Saturday Farmers Market. Nice big ,clean room with modern amenities in an historic house. We had the use of a fridge for guests. There was a choice of made to order breakfast items. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. Some road noise in the evening and early in the morning which we heard because we sleep with open windows. We arrived on a very hot day and the air conditioner hadn't been installed yet, so we helped the proprieter install it. Had we not done that, our room would have been stifling as it was on the top floor. Not much to dislike here. Set in a neighborhood of a small town, there is a bit of walking to restaurants which are anyway limited in number and hours of operation. This is more of a comment on the area, less so on the B&B. Leaving. The floor creaked a bit. There was not anything that I didn't like. No accessible electrical outlets for heating pad (low back issues) Unable to access email on their computer, even after trying for near 1/2 hour, mid-morning.
