We had to cancel our original two nights hotel booking in Banff due to
the Hwy 1 road closure caused by the disastrous flooding. We had to
change our itinerary and travel through Red Deer to get to
Jasper/Banff. We were so glad that we booked into The Hidden Ridge
Resort instead (the hotel previously booked and cancelled didn't

cottage/chalet setting with a stunning view, a spacious and very
well equipped one bedroom apartment was a nice ch -
The view from the hot tub and warm pool. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful. The condo was lovely too! The kitchenette was a great thing to have to cook our own food and the BBQ was very nice to use. The inexpensive long distance phone fee was awesome as was the free parking and free shuttle bus into Banff (not to mention the free coffee and hot chocolate in the lounge/lobby all day)

Great location for a hotel, right in the middle of downtown, near the shops and restaurants.
Smaller hotel and great for your budget as it has the same amenities as other hotel just not as "fancy".
There is free indoor parking just behind the hotel and if it is too busy, they have $5 parking underground.

I liked that the staff were super-friendly and knowledgeable. It was
also affordable and in the center of town (I.E. very
convenient/short walk to restaurants, laundromat, drugstore, parking
garage, etc.). I also liked that there was a refrigerator in the room.

We love what Douglas Fir has to offer our two Granddaughters in terms of facilities(the pool, hot tub and play park).
We had a one bedroom chalet which was perfect for us and Douglas Fir provided a playpen and highchair, which meant we did not have to pack them in the car.
We love being able to take the bus for free, and we love the friendly staf

The Waterslides and Indoor Playground were BIG hits with the kids!! The fireplace and free wood were most welcome. The surprisingly convenient and well-stocked store on site was also a welcome convenience. The full kitchen and nearby parking were very handy. The location is far enough from town that it is quiet at night, but a close bus ride, short drive, or half hour walk away from the Resort.

Everything. This was a luxury hotel at a moderate price. Room was large and spacious. It had a soaker tub and separate shower. Bed was so comfortable. It had a pool/Jacuzzi/steam room. We lived our stay in the Deluxe Room. The room was very clean and the style of the the room is unique to what we're familiar with. We were on the 2nd floor and the floors felt heated, not sure if it was from rooms below or actual floor heating. The bathroom is huge, separate tub from glass shower.

stayed at many hotels in Banff before and the staff at other hotels seem
really annoyed and grumpy. I really appreciated being treated in a

Our family pet came with us,and during our meals at the Bistro, the staff at the front desk looked after our dog. It was a fantastic service that I wish more hotels offered. The bistro was a 4 star meal. We had a dinner and breakfast and both were some of the best meals we have ever had in Banff. -

It was very nice, the staff were excellent - The spa/pool area is an ideal place to ease the aches from a day on the slopes. Also the Keg restaurant does good steaks and is a popular place to eat.

We were upgraded to another suite on arrival and we were pleasantly
surprised at the quality of the fixtures, fittings and furniture in our
suite. Every thing was immaculately clean and it provided everything
that you could possibly need for a pleasant stay. It had tennis courts ,
basketball nets, a sauna, indoor pool and hot tub and also an outdo

customer service oriented and this makes for happy customers. Good job
everyone. -
It was close to the town but was quiet and peaceful although there were
plenty of amenities if you wanted to make use of them. It would be a
great place for families and was comfortable and clean. The staff were
great and really helpful we were missing out tv remote and a member of
staff brought one straight away when we called the reception. Breakfast
was tasty and again the staff were friendly and helpful.

restaurant was good and staff was excellent - We really enjoyed our stay and the closeness to all areas. The staff were wonderful, especially when we had a concern about the heat in our room, and the coffee machine was replaced quickly when discovered not working.
