  Staff was very helpful with giving suggestions for the activities in the city and spoke good English. Rooms are very nice and neat. Breakfast was excellent! One of the best we had in Brazil. Location is very safe, which is important if you visit Salvador.   This place is a real gem. No one could visit and not appreciate the care and thought that has gone into the design and attention to detail, especially in the bay-facing rooms, with their balconies and spacious, comfortable rooms. This was a genuinely laid-back stay, with all needs catered for and a delicious breakfast freshly-prepared each morning... wat mensen zeggen » . We spent plenty of time in the pousada (guest house) simply relaxing in the huge lounge downstairs, with its paintings and shelves full of books. H - Love it, love it, love it.  You have to make this your base for Salvador.... Stunning place, really nicely decorated with every detail thought about. Super friendly staff full of lots of tips and hints about the town.  It is the love and attention they put into everything which shines through -  arranged a super friendly collection from the airport, welcomed with a fresh juice, room upgraded,  Great breakfast.thank u for a wonderful stay.

  Received with best hospitality, we got two coconuts as a welcomedrink :) the room was very clean and nice, with ventilator and air cooling system. the room was very nicely decorated and for 150R$ everything (furniture etc) was of very good quality!!! we got coffee for free, and as i wanted to use internet, the dona didn t even let me pay, even if o... wat mensen zeggen » ne is supposed to. we had a nice talk with everyone of the pousada, from the dona to the empregada and they re very sympathic, calm, helpful and open - The staff is really friendly and the place is quite and relax.

  The owners (a friendly Brasilian/French couple) are really super!! They are punctual and caring for their customers. You will receive plenty of good tips from them and they are polyglots. We liked the location in the center of the old Salvador, it's easy and within walking distance of all interesting seeings. Don't miss the local folklore dancing spectacle (in only 3 min. walking distance from the Pousada) and the street band in Pe - Nice location, nice view from the room. Great personal,, actually the European owners are so welcoming that you forget every negative detail about the city or your trip. They give the best advices, arrange airport transfer and nice chatting in many languages which you may not find in elsewhere in Salvador. They try to find solution for all special needs.

  Extremely friendly hostel right in the heart of the Pelourinho. The facilities are certainly a bit spartan, but the staff are overly friendly, speak many languages, and they assist you and advise you on all matters. The pousada has a very nice covered courtyard with coffee tables, a hammoc, and a pool table, as well as a sunny terrace with rooftop... wat mensen zeggen » views. The rooms are very simple but spacious, clean and fresh. They also have fridges for keeping snacks or drinks. The view from the rooms is very - Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location. We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.

  The staff is helpful, friendly and very cooperative. We have been travelling in brasil for quite a while and this is the only recommendation we placed at booking. Casa petunia is a place were you feel comfortable directly. The rooms are excellent (good showers!). The pousada is nice decorated with a family- atmosphere. Nice neighbourhood with beaches - The atmosphere was quite intoxicating leaning toward the exotic. The proprietor made us feel very at home almost as if we were staying with welcoming friends. Mornings couldn't come soon enough anticipating the excellent breakfast that awaited us. The Atlantic beach, walking minutes away from the pousada was beckoning. The rooms were comfortable especially the lobby and dining area, which was filled with exquisite art and furnishing from Bali. Casa Petunia far exceeded all of our expectations.
