  The staff were fantastic, from check in to waitstaff at the restaurant. There was a slight problem with our booking and the staff were so obliging and helpful. The restaurant staff were really appropriate with our younger children.Really close to great food and shopping and park for kids.   The sucurity was of high standard. Staff were welcoming and prompt. Easy to find and great access from street. Very clean and well equipped mini bar. Love the freedom of having the kitchenette in the room. Love the fact I don't have to step over and into a bath/spa to have a shower! I liked the newspaper, definitely a great extra. Didn't hear any external noise from our room. - the friendly and professional staff; the size of the studio apartment was surprisingly very large and very comfortable; the restaurant in the hotel and the cafe next door were excellent and value for money.   The fact that the hotel staff warmed the room for us knowing that we will be arriving late hence we would not be cold after we arrive. The room has everything that a family with young kids need. The jacuzzi/ spa was large enough for my 2 kids to dip in. Each cabin has an attractive bushland outlook. It is very central for vineyards and other Hunter Valley attractions.

  The whole weekend was excellent. My negative comment was of one staff member, who probably needs a bit of retraining. However the staff were great considering the storm that had ensued not long after our arrival. Staff could have been concerned about personal property and they still kept a smile and courteous attitude during their task at hand. I am still buzzing from the - I partciularly was extremely imporessed by the night receptionist Nathan. I also stayed there Christmas eve and the day after and he was on duty on both occasions. So helpful was he that I intended to write a letter to the managemant extolling our praise.You are fortunate to have him and youir other staff members were helpful as well. Please pass on my thanks to Nathan. Also has good facilities, including the pool and closness to the beach if required.

Being a smoker, the ashtray on the balcony table was much appreciated and made the morning coffees more enjoyable.
