  Quay West Suites provided all that we needed for a weekend trip to Melbourne. It is within convenient walking distance from the NGV, Federation Square, The Arts Centre, Hamer Hall, etc, with lots of restaurants at Southbank. Buffet breakfast was included in my room rates and the choices were plentiful and a great way to start our day.Overall, I was happy with my stay.

They location would be great if you had plans at one of the sporting venues and although you were 2 blocks from the North/South tram routes, there were East/West trams running one street either side of the hotel. This is a comfortable value for money hotel with good access to Prahran eateries and very conveniently located on St Kilda Road which makes it very easy to tram in and out of town.   We overnighted as we had an early-morn departure the next day. Family (incl 2 grandchildren) joined us for dinner. My 5 yo g-son adored the pasta bolognese and ate every mouthful - he thanked the chef, too. Upgraded as it was my husband's birthday which was lovely. Excellent gym and pool facilities for early morning fitness. Evening snack meal great too. Would stay again if passing through with little time to go into city. Also saved on expensive transfer in and out of city which is worth factoring into the equation of overall cost.

  After a long international flight the Mantra was amazing. We arrived late at night so only spent about 7 hours at the hotel. But we ha the best sleep. Just what we need prior to an early morning flight. We didn't know how to get the bus to the hotel however it was only a $11 cab ride. From the helpful reception to my room to the spa, my experience was wonderful. Having found a reasonable rate on Booking, I expected something fairly basic, and this pleasantly exceeded my expectations. I had told my friend I usually stay at Mooloolaba as the screen showed the one at Mooloolaba. She then said they could make king into twin. We had booked I bed twin apt. When we came back at 4.30pm. So great stay. - I liked the fact that it was situated near the city attractions but not too close, hence not too noisy. The tram stop was just by the hotel or we could walk downtown in less than 15 minutes. There was a small supermarket right next door. We were on 10th floor and had the views without the traffic noise. The staff were nice and helpful and the apartment was roomy, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
