The staff is very welcoming and helpful. The bedroom is very big with some space for the food/breakfast The bathroom is clean and bright The room is cleaned every day There is WiFi access We cannot hear any noise There is a pleasant swimming pool. Easy to book online. Fairly close to Gladstone Marina so a good stopover to get to Heron Island. Very helpful staff and managers who were keen to meet our needs. Friendly taxi driver who suggested the Yacht Club to eat dinner by the harbor.
alle beoordelingen » I was disappointed to discover no bath in my room but was able to upgrade right away to a spa room (extra cost but worth it). All the staff were very friendly and helpful...except the chef...for whom the other staff repeatedly apologised. The Room was spacious, clean and modern. the motel restuarant and breakfast was excellent. The bathroom was also clean and modern and the towels were thick and plush good quality. Much appreciated. The Motel is a relative new construction,with nice and proper facilities. One of the highest standards for a Motel we found in Australia. Clean room. Comfortable bed. Good air conditioner. Well located in the heart of the cbd. No real complaints. Friendly efficient staff. Comfortable tidy rooms, very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for our first night as newly weds. Location. The breakfast was a bit expensive. Quite expensive for one night $250 in just an average motel room. Quite a distance from the airport meant an expensive taxi ride but then again short taxi ride to the Marina so one cancels out the other. The chef's attitude sucked. It seemed beneath him to make a toasted sandwich...he did it, but not without a lot of eye rolling and huffing and puffing. No Individual balcony. Check out at 10am is absolutely fine but we didn't appreciate the "20 minute call" knock at the door at 09:36am. Could not find anything about the hotel we did not like. The Location It was a long walk to the town and very hilly not suitable if you are not fit. (Take the Car). The owner charged me for an extra person on my credit card without telling me. Got woken twice on 1st night by young party goers. carpet. This is the 2nd time I have stayed there and both times there were blown electric light bulbs in the room. When I have discovered it it is after office closing time and so you put up with it. They need to get the staff to check the lights when they make up the rooms. Nothing really. We found eating out in Gladstone to be on the expensive side. Perhaps we are spoiled from eating out regulary in Ipswich. I thought the dinner meals are highly over priced for basic pub food. I hate the fact that motels in so called mining areas charge like wounded bulls just because of the mining.These high prices put off regular travelers .You can get water front balcony rooms at Airlie beach cheaper. Fairly basic for the price. Unit needed a good clean. especially under things and ledges. At $220.00AU dollars very expensive compared to NZ. Overpriced. Have stayed there for years, but the price has gone through the roof of late. Cleaning lady took 2 minutes to clean room, straightened the top sheets, changed towels, brushed toilet. Did not clean the cups. Same as in other room we had booked. Worst coffee (International Roast) you can think off. Have informed my staff not to book there anymore.
