  This is the best bed and breakfast on the island! Gaston, the owner, is a wonderful host and comes to greet you at the door with his dog Griffin. Before arriving, he sends you a confirmation e-mail with directions to the property, if you are renting a car, or offering to pick you up from the airport if you are not. We stayed in room #4, which was right by the pool and the scenic view - Breakfast was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very private (covered with beautiful, lush greenery) and is tucked away in a residential area. If you are looking to be right in the center of everything -- this is not the place for you. However, if you are looking for a very peaceful retreat from all the hustle and bustle, this is the place to go!   De appartementen zijn heel mooi. Het wordt er elke dag schoongemaakt en het zwembad wordt goed verzorgd. Het huis is in de wijk Ponton gelegen en is 20 min wandelen van Oranjestad. Er zijn wel kleine collectbusjes die je naar het centrum brengen voor 1,75 dollar. Ook zijn er busjes naar de hotelarea voor dezelfde prijs. De eigenares is een heel be... wat mensen zeggen » hulpzame en toffe dame. - Amazing Staff! It was the best experience at a hotel so far. The host went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable, even offering to drop me off at the airport for cheaper than a taxi. She even set up a quad rental and dropped me off to pick up the ride. The pool is very nice and it is in a quiet neighborhood. Price is perfect. I will be coming back. :)

  The owner Joey , his uncle the cleaning staff were great. Very nice and very friendly people. I felt at home and very safe. The location of the apartment was perfect. I was able to get to the main city and San Nicolas quickly. The ocean was just one block away. Beautiful view of the ocean during the day and the sunset was out of this world. Resident iguanas. Try ZeeRover restaurant 10 minute bus ride on outskirts on St Nicolas for seafood on the waters edge, fresh cooked, eat with fingers.

  This place was just what I was looking for: inexpensive, convenient, clean and comfortable. Stephan was a great host. Everything was working in excellent order. The bed was as comfortable a bed as I have slept on, the water pressure was powerful and plenty of hot water. The kitchen was equipped with everything I needed and even a pop-up toaste... wat mensen zeggen » r, a nice touch. The air conditioning was quiet and COLD! Nothing really negative to say. - We stayed at Pauline's one night while waiting for a plane flight home. The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The owner, Stephan, could not have been more accommodating. He picked us up at the airport, drove us to a restaurant and then drove us back to the airport the next day. He was very personable and easy to talk to. He is just a great guy. The price is exceedingly reasonable. I highly recommend Pauline's.
