They were so selfless they even suggested we go to El Chelten which although meant we didnt stay more nights with them, meant we got to

  Gabriel, the host, was extremely kind and helpful. The hotel and rooms were decorated with a lot of taste. The hotel was located near the bird reserve and lake. It was very peaceful to stay at this hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that serves specialities from Patagonia. You have to pay the hotel in cash in order avoiding 10% in more but this is an information you know as soon as you reserve and they remind it to yo - Staying at Cauquenes de Nimez was one of the best travel experiences we ever had. It is not a place for those looking for luxury, but instead you will find a great staff that will make their best to make you feel like you are at home. Have a free cup of tea at 6 o'clock looking at the birds flying over the Nimez laguna and waking up with the birds singing is really fantastic. Located only 15 minutes-walk away from the center of the city. Thanks Sr. Gabriel and the team for the great hospitality

The walls are nice embellished and the garden is lovely. it's a couzy and lovely surrounding. Stuff was super friendly and helpful, breakfast excellent. It's located close to the town center yet on the quieter side. Private and peaceful. We loved everything about it.

  Excellent place. It is really a “boutique” hosteria, similar to an upscale American (not British) B&B. New building with stylish, Argentinian estancia-themed décor—lots of varnished logs, exposed stone, etc. Large, elegantly furnished common areas, delightful breakfast area, and large outside deck, all with expansive views over the town, lake,... wat mensen zeggen » and mountains. About a 10 minute walk to town, but you will need to use a cab when first arriving with luggage since the road is not paved all the wa - Lovely styling, view, breakfast. Very comfortable. Staff speaks very little English but helped me with many things with my broken Spanish ( did a great job with laundry and reasonably priced, taxi in the morning, booking me for another day, holding my suitcase while I travelled elsewhere for a night.

  Perfect hotel. We will go there again if we visit El Calafate. The hotel owners were very friendly. The man drove us to and back the city centre for free (free hotel service!). The wife cooked for us whatever we wanted. And it tasted very good. Ask her lamb stew with patato's. Myriam indeed cooks great, we stayed for the dinner at the hotel and had very good steaks. Location is remote, but the owner kindly suggests round trip to the city centre if needed.
