Although I've been attending professional conferences in Chelan for over a decade, this is the first time I've stayed at the Lakeview Hotel. I've always liked their restaurant (BC MacDonald's) and frequently dine there when I'm in Chelan for a conference. I also enjoy chatting with the owners, who are very friendly. tous commentaires » We loved the attention to detail of the bathrooms and that I could lie down from head to toe in the bathtub and I'm 6' 1" The mattress was super plush and comfy. The natural light tube in the bathroom! no need to turn on any lights during the day. The communal balcony which faces the river to Lake Chelan. Great place to sit and enjoy a glass of wine. Being right in the center hub of town and walk to everything!. Rooms were nice. Fire places. Staff was friendly, seemed like it was a new remodel, bathrooms were really nice. Good for a weekend trip. Not gonna find nicer rooms in chelan, no view or windows/balcony in the twin bed room, but there was a skylight in the bathroom and over the beds, much nicer then it looks on the outside. Located right next to senior frogs (only bar during off season) in the heart of downtown. The upstairs rooms are outstanding...very modern/stylish, luxurious, adults only...perfect for a couple's weekend! And the hotel is ideally located next to the lake, right downtown, close to shopping (books, restaurants, etc). Seemed unorganized had to give them my cc multiple times, weird to check in at the host stand for bc mcdonalds, took 15 mins to find someone that could actually check us in to the room then 10 to check out. No onsite parking, had to park 3 blocks away. Overall minor annoyances. Was worth the stay. Maybe a little too busy downstairs but there was no noise upstairs!. absolutely nothing. Parking. There's a lot 2 blocks away so we had to move our car back and forth for any loading and unloading. It would have been nice to enjoy the fireplace from the tub, but it was turned off for the season. Didn't find anything we didn't like. The Parking is not optimal and you do have to go up stairs to get to your room. Due to its location, the view from the room was poor. We overlooked the space between the hotel and the building next to it which contained garbage cans, etc. We just kept the blinds closed. I never found a way to control the AC and I like a room to be freezing. Did not like the parking. We had to park our car on the street , and if you wanted to park in a parking lot it was 1 1/2 blocks away. Fireplace not turned on until October. could not open the window for ventilation. Absolutely nothing!. The parking was slightly tricky. They don't have a parking lot right next to the building, so we had to put our car in the city park behind the hotel (a 30 second walk to the hotel alley). But there were no security risks or other issues with parking there!. Carrying luggage upstairs. No issues. Walkup and poor parking. 1. When I booked online, it appeared that I booked for two nights (which I wanted) - ended up only booking for one night, so I had to leave and stay elsewhere the next night. 2. The food at the restaurant downstairs wasn't great... There was a mini Hydro race on the lake behind the hotel, it was noisy but I don't think you can control that. inconvenient parking. Parking is a little far away. Some things in the rooms need fixing towel rack,hole in the wall ect. couldn't tell what was on T.V. The bathtub drained slow. No control for the a/c. N/A. Parking is not close, but walkable. No elevator and no instruction about the air conditioner. the restaurant downstairs was just average. No valet or lacking of parking. Nothing. no iron or iron board in room. noisy. no open window and no way to regulate very noisy air conditioner..and too much bar noise on Saturday night!. Parking is not on site. There was a list of in-room wine service but the restaurant staff did not know what was going on and would not allow a bottle of wine to be charged to the room. The parking was a couple blocks away and would be a hassle for an extended stay with additional luggage. Also, the service was definitely sub-par. Communication was lacking and although the restaurant and hotel are busy, when working with a customer, it is best to work directly with them prior to rushing around doing other things. It was also considered an "upgrade" to not have the hot tub and not replaced with anything else. The location was noisy and food orders from the diner below on the main area (rooms are upstairs) was not pleasant.
