Ce que les gens disent
From the moment we arrived we were greeted and made to feel welcome. Lorna showed us the
facilities and our room which was grand. The bar meal that night was very good, our 2nd night in the restaurant also very good.
Our room for the 2nd night which was booked after a decision to stay another night was quite okay even though it had only a private bathroom separate from bedroom.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Would love to revisit for a longer stay. tous commentaires »
I found Lorna the manager and her staff to be excellent. Views from the rooms, bar and dining room are stunning. I had a laptop and an iPad with me and never felt like turning either of them on. Food was excellent. Stayed in two separate rooms. One in the hotel the other one of the garden rooms and loved them both. It's not brand new, but has character by the bucketload and I can't recommend the hotel enough.
Friendly atmosphere. Booked us into the dining-room at short notice for a delicious Saturday evening meal. Excellent views from all tables when dining - not just window seats. Would definitely return - with partner and dog!.
friendly and relaxing attention and care in this family run hotel; good food and comfort in beautiful surroundings. Waking up in the morning to watch fishermen on the fresh water loch almost outside the bedroom window.
They went all out to ensure we had gluten free food even changing the evening dessert menu especially for us. The staff although young were extremely professional, friendly and welcoming.
Fabulous location - handy for exploring the whole island and for the Stromness ferry.
The food was excellent and varied.
A great place to stay. Excellent food. Helpful staff. Very relaxing. There can't be anywhere better on Orkney.
The staff were very accommodating and the hotel was well appointed and
clean. We would stay there again.

N/A.
Nothing really.
Nothing.
The chef tends to add too much salt for our tastes but that may be ok
for others.
Difficult to find late in the afternoon as sign is dark, no lights.
WiFi did not work at all.
Not too enthusiastic about the wet bathroom, Whole bathroom seemed to get very wet when using shower!.
Nothing.
Last breakfast was at 9.15.
Over priced at £135.00 for such a hotel poor organisation for service at
breakfast ( staff training required).
Unpleasant dingy room with 1970's furnishings and a bed well past it's sell buy date.
